The presentation will provide a snapshot of results of a Europe wide primary care study. The focus will be on the comprehensiveness of primary care, the association between primary care and use of specialty care, and on the experiences of patients.


Willemijn Schäfer, PhD

Willemijn Schäfer, PhD, is a health services researcher from the Netherlands who is currently based at Northwestern University in Chicago. In her previous position at NIVEL (the Netherlands Institute for Health Services Research), she coordinated a study on primary care in 34 countries. Based on this study, she prepared a PhD dissertation on the range of services provided by Family Physicians and the experiences of their patients.
