What President Trump Can Learn from Global Family Medicine
On February 28, 2017, President Trump tweeted, “I am calling on Congress to REPEAL & REPLACE OBAMACARE with reforms that expand choice, increase access, lower costs & provide better care.” Over past months, the world has watched the stalemate in Washington, DC over the attempts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act and, while this appears to have been the main game, global lessons about the benefits of strengthening primary care and family medicine must not be lost on the President. Worldwide we have seen how primary care can deliver on the Presidential challenge to the status quo and deliver substantial improvement through expanded choice, increased access and lower costs.
Light refreshments will be served.
