  • Geography helps us to understand the context in which patients live; it helps us to better understand the distribution of the health care workforce; it helps us to evaluate medical education programs in terms of the areas in which their graduates practice.

  • There is emerging evidence that the nation has unmet needs in a variety of medical fields including primary care, psychiatry, general surgery, and certain pediatric subspecialties.

  • The Graham Center is interested in producing economic research that generates new evidence and ideas to enable primary care to attain the “triple aim” of increased quality, improved outcomes, and reduced costs while informing effective policy decision-making.
